The topic for the coming years in Amsterdam-South is going to be the “Dementia friendly neighbourhood” (read the book on issuu). The aim is to create a neighbourhood where people with dementia and their families can stay and live longer.
The starting point for this research is to investigate into ‘haptic way-finding for people with dementia’ from an architectural perspective, on the border between public and private space in relation to the ‘Odensehuis’.
