Dutch architect Aldo van Eyck. Estec, European Space Agency’s technology centre at Noordwijk

by alzheimerarchitecture
The building accommodates a restaurant, a conference centre and the library of the European Space Agency’s technology centre at Noordwijk. It is designed by the Dutch architect Aldo van Eyck. The interior shows the influence of various styles like art nouveau and Finnish post-war architecture, as well as Rudolf Steiner’s anthroposophical views. The building is situated close to the dunes and continues the gentle up and down of the surroundings.
From July 1988 until January 1990 Henri Snel was working as a designer at the office of Aldo and Hannie van Eyck.
